2 PP for Outlook has the potential to be an outstanding product. The integration with MS Office and especially with One Note provides the opportunity to store meeting notes and other materials in One Note. I have used this feature many times. However, the program is not stable.

I always have to load it two or three times because it crashes Outlook. I have also set up projects only to lose the data unexpectedly. If FC upgraded this successfully so that it functioned as advertised and utilized all the available advantages of integration with Outlook and Office, it would be an outstanding product. I have tried Plan Plus Online and do not really find that it works for me. I much prefer Plan Plus for Outlook.

1 More than 20 years ago I started using the Franklin prioritization and planning system on paper. Soon after that, I started using their software and paper together. This worked well for me for several years. Over the last 10 to 15 years I have purchased several versions of Franklin and FC software. Some worked well, some not so well. I am currently using Outlook 2007 with Windows 7. Over the last 5 years, or so, I have given up multiple times trying to get PlanPlus for Outlook to work well.

I can only start to recollect how may hours I have spent with FC Customer Support, and on my own, trying to get mutliple versions to work as expected. I have again tried, without success, to get the latest version to work. I am not a power user, I am simply looking for the software to manage task prioritization, daily scheduling and printing to pocket pages without crashing or locking up Outlook.

I will likely try the next version when it comes out. I find the Franklin planning system to work for me. Unfortunately, the software does not meet my lowest expectations for reliability and quality. I am exceedingly dissappointed that FC is not delivering a better product. And, looking at other reviews, I am clearly not alone. I wonder what the problem is: difficulties in writing software to work with Outlook, poor programmers, poor quality control, lack of commitment to the product, or something else. Whatever the problem is, I do want to use PlanPlus for Outlook, or a similar product that is reliable and stable.

Support only via email for win 8. First response took 4 days and wasnt helpful. Remaining requests took at least a day each.
