Excellent new book about the exotic tropical native and introduced fruits found in Brazil. Book is in English and is 672 pages. Includes descriptions and photos of 827fruits including 389 species and 438 cultivars.

A lot of this information and photos cannot be found in other books! Photos include not just the fruits, but also leaves, flower, seeds and cross sections of the fruits. The photos are taken on a centimeter background grid for scale.

Great to see some of these never before seen extra rare Brazilian fruit photos. Includes nutritional charts, index, and bibliography. Book size is 5 1/4 by 9 inches.

Because it contains all kinds of trees, not just fruiting trees, it also has information and photos about the quality of the wood.

Lots of information not available in any other books about very rare fruits. This book was previously available only in Portuguese but now has come out in an English translation. This is a well illustrated book with over 2000 full color photos in each volume in a large format size of 8 1/2 in x 12 1/2 in. (21 x 31 cm). Each volume is 384 pages, for a total of 768 pages, showing the most important species of trees of Brazil. Written information on the characteristics of each plant, its phenology, occurrence, gathering of seeds, production of seedlings, etc., is given. Published by Instituto Plantarum.
